On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, Mr. Herman POUYA, the General Delegate of the Regional Center for the Living Arts in Africa (CERAV/Africa), welcomed a delegation from the artistic club of Nazi Boni University in Bobo-Dioulasso, known as "Le Baobab," led by its President, Mr. Eric KIENOU.

During this meeting, Mr. KIENOU presented two prestigious awards recently won by the club in the fields of theater and slam, showcasing their artistic commitment and talent. The General Delegate warmly congratulated the club for these remarkable achievements, encouraging them to maintain this momentum of success and to persevere in their efforts to promote art and culture.

In addition to presenting these awards, the Baobab artistic club delegation took the opportunity to inform the General Delegate about the upcoming organization of their festival called "Baobab Tours," an event that will take place from October 11 to November 11, 2024, across all cultural centers in Bobo-Dioulasso. The opening ceremony will be held at the Siraba Center, an iconic venue in the city, and tickets are already available for the price of 1,000 CFA francs.

In support of the club and the festival initiative, the General Delegate of CERAV/Africa assured the visitors of the active mobilization of the institution's staff to fully participate in this major cultural event in Bobo-Dioulasso.

The meeting concluded on a friendly note, with words of encouragement from the General Delegate to the Baobab artistic club, urging them to continue on this path and to cultivate the artistic excellence that characterizes them.

This exchange once again reflects CERAV/Africa's unwavering support for cultural actors and the promotion of the living arts in Burkina Faso and Africa.
