His Excellency Mr. Youssef SLAOUI, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Burkina Faso received on July 21, 2023, a visit from Mr. Wendlasida Herman POUYA, General Delegate of the Regional Center for Living Arts in Africa (CERAV / Africa). Were present at this meeting Mr. Rachid El FAKIR, 1st Secretary of the Embassy and Mr. Emmanuel KONKOBO, Director of Cooperation and Public Relations of CERAV/Africa.
This visit was an opportunity for the General Delegate to present the missions of CERAV/Africa, the actions already carried out with the Kingdom of Morocco within the framework of the promotion of the living arts, cinema and audiovisual without forgetting the support of African States in the implementation of the 2005 UNESCO Convention on the protection and promotion of the diversity of cultural expressions.
The immense support of the Kingdom of Morocco for CERAV/Africa not only as a member country of the Board of Directors of the Center but also the expertise and the quality of the various contributions of Moroccan cultural actors have not failed to be welcomed.
It was also an opportunity for CERAV/Africa to present its perspectives, in particular the preparations for the next events that will take place in Morocco.
His Excellency Mr. Youssef SLAOUI, after listening attentively, said he took good note of the presentation of CERAV/Africa which enabled him to better understand the missions and status of the Centre. Emphasis was placed on partnerships with a number of institutions in order to strengthen the intervention capacities of the Centre, which is intended to operate throughout the African Continent.
The General Delegate of CERAV/Africa thanked His Excellency the Ambassador for his availability and the fruitful exchanges on the role and projects of the Regional Center for the Living Arts in Africa. The visit ended on a positive and convivial note.
