On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, the Regional Center for Performing Arts in Africa (CERAV/Africa) welcomed approximately thirty third-year undergraduate students in modern literature from Joseph Ki-Zerbo University for a field trip dedicated to deepening their knowledge of arts and culture.
This educational visit to the headquarters of the Regional Center for Performing Arts in Africa (CERAV/Africa) in Bobo-Dioulasso aimed to give the students a better understanding of the institution's role and operations. The meeting began with a presentation by Mr. Konkonbo, Director of Cooperation and Public Relations, who retraced the Center's origins based on the 2005 UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. He also explained the institution's current missions and the broad outlines of its organization. This was followed by an interactive exchange during which the students asked numerous questions, including those on the Centre's partners, its main activities and the membership criteria for Member States.

The visit continued at the CERAV Resource Center, a richly stocked documentation space designed for researchers, students, and arts and culture enthusiasts. Visitors were able to discover a wide variety of works covering several fields: cultural development, cinema, music, dance, communication, cultural regulations, and artistic entrepreneurship, among others. Enthralled by this immersion, the students expressed their satisfaction and admiration for the center's richness. The visit concluded with a visit to the reading room, which is open to the public. On this occasion, the Directorate of Documentation, Information, and Statistics reaffirmed CERAV/Africa's openness to all student and academic initiatives, inviting visitors to return and contact the institution as needed.
