The Regional Center for Performing Arts in Africa (CERAV/Africa) officially installed Mr. Bérenger KOUNKORGO in his position as Director of Human Resources, during a ceremony held on Friday August 23, 2024. This appointment, decided in the Council of Ministers on July 31, 2024, marks an important step in strengthening human resources management within this pan-African cultural institution.
The ceremony, chaired by the General Delegate of CERAV/Africa, Mr. Wendlasida Herman POUYA, brought together the staff of the Center in an atmosphere of conviviality. In his speech, Mr. POUYA expressed his confidence in Mr. KOUNKORGO, emphasizing his skills and his commitment to serving the mission of CERAV/Africa. He also recalled the importance of effective human resources management to achieve the strategic objectives of the institution, particularly in the context of the development of cultural and creative industries in Africa.
Mr. KOUNKORGO, visibly moved, expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and committed to working for the well-being of staff and the continuous improvement of the institution's performance. He says he understands the extent of the responsibilities that await him as HR director. This is why he invited his colleagues to work together to address the challenges facing CERAV/Africa. A call that did not fall on deaf ears since the staff representative, Mr. Boukary SAWADOGO, while congratulating the new HR director, expressed the availability of all staff to support him and wished him every success in his new missions.
With this appointment, the Center reaffirms its commitment to promoting excellence and good governance for the development of the performing arts in Africa.
